AVF Membership Update
By: Kirsten Joranlien - AVF Membership Manager
The AVF Membership Committee and staff have been hard at work to increase member engagement and amp up new member recruitment in 2014 and 2015.
New Member Recruitment
In order to recruit new members, AVF has implemented a few new programs in 2014. Annual Meeting registrants will have the opportunity to apply for membership as they register for the meeting to take advantage of the AVF member registration discount. The Membership Committee will have an AVF booth in the exhibit hall to communicate with attendees interested in membership and current members looking to get more involved. Non-member meeting attendees will also be able to complete a member application at the AVF booth. New members will be recognized with a special badge ribbon and welcomed at the New Member Breakfast with the Board. New applicants will also be welcomed to attend the New Member Breakfast to get acquainted with AVF leadership and Membership Committee. Click here to learn more about becoming a member!
Member Referral Program
A new member benefit in 2014 is the Member Referral Program, which provides discount vouchers for each successful member referral. Multiple referrals are encouraged and each one will earn additional discount vouchers! Discount vouchers can be applied toward registration fees to AVF meetings and educational programs. Call for Committee Volunteers
Another benefit of AVF membership is the opportunity to get involved in committees and task forces, and to earn your path to committee chairperson or a seat on the Board of AVF or the Foundation. The call for volunteers is open until November 3, 2014. Click here to volunteer!
Distinguished Fellow Membership
A new member category has been established to recognize AVF members who have significantly contributed to AVF and the field of venous and lymphatic health care. Click here to learn about the qualifications and to apply for Distinguished Fellow Membership.
