Comprehensive Venous Screening Program (Live)
The venous screening program consists of:
- VTE Risk Assessment
- Varicose Vein and Venous Insufficiency Assessment
- Duplex ultrasound exam
- Venous Report Card
- Patient Education Materials
Participants complete a venous risk questionnaire evaluating their risk for VTE and venous insufficiency problems. Legs are examined by a qualified professional. An ultrasound exam of both legs is performed to detect failure of the vein venous flow or blockages in the veins.* All participants receive educational materials about venous disease and a report card to bring to their primary care provider.
*Those centers participating in the Comprehensive Venous Screening Program conduct the ultrasound component under an accredited vascular laboratory or by a vascular ultrasonagrapher who meets the certification guidelines set by Medicare.
