The West Coast Vein Forum Program is intended to be an annual review of challenges and controversies encountered by any practitioner treating venous disease. Topics will range through the gamut of venous conditions that present to the venous treatment office. However, the meeting is not meant as a comprehensive review. Basic knowledge in vein disease and treatment is assumed. Rather the discussions will provide understanding of the complexities and depth of science needed by anyone treating varicose veins and other venous problems. In addition, there will be opportunity to discuss details of techniques of vein treatment with our expert faculty. The meeting will be appreciated by practitioners at varying levels of expertise.
Our faculty is composed of many of the most prominent names in vein disease and treatment. Many have served as presidents of the AVF, and all are active in vein research and education. As our program is designed to include long discussion sessions, all of our faculty will have opportunity to lend their perspectives to each topic. The conversations promise to be illuminating, and even entertaining. This format also gives the audience and faculty opportunity to interact on the level of group discussion.
Since our meeting venue provides some of the best sightseeing and recreational activities in the world, we have scheduled the program to enable our attendees and their partners to enjoy the Monterey/Carmel area. We would encourage attendees to plan to spend extra days in this very special area.
